Manjula Cultural Trust has been actively working to preserve and promote Indian culture through various initiatives:
Classical Dance Programs: Organized Bharatanatyam performances at Silparama on the eve of Srikrishna Jayanthi (27-08-2024).
Mythological & Folk Dramas: Street plays based on Mahabharata and tribal folk performances were conducted in multiple villages to enhance cultural awareness among the rural communities.
Support for Artists: Identified professional and traditional artists in villages, issued ID cards to access government benefits and pensions, and promoted local arts including music, drama, and tribal folk culture.
The Trust focused on uplifting women in rural areas through skill development and livelihood training:
Engaged unskilled women across 12 villages in four mandals: Vedurukuppam, Ramachandrapuram, Chandragiri, and Pakala.
Benefitted up to 500 women, equipping them with vocational skills, employment opportunities, and awareness on socio-economic development.
Formed and supported Self Help Groups (SHGs) for women to enhance financial independence and community engagement.
Manjula Cultural Trust conducted multiple health-related awareness initiatives:
Reproductive & Child Health (RCH), Save the Girl Child programs, and maternal/child healthcare awareness.
TB Control, HIV/AIDS Awareness, and Dental Care camps were conducted in villages with the support of government health workers.
Seasonal disease prevention programs, such as Dengue awareness, were conducted in Amudalakona village, Chandragiri Mandal, focusing on vulnerable communities like Yanadhi.
Nutrition awareness sessions and female foeticide prevention campaigns were organized with local stakeholders.
The Trust has implemented multiple projects in environmental protection and sustainable agriculture:
Awareness campaigns on medicinal and oxygen-generating plants like Nannari to support both ecology and income generation for farmers.
Promoted Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) and vermicompost usage to increase crop yield and sustainable agricultural practices in 10 villages.
Conducted National Environment Awareness Campaigns (NEAC) in 2013, 2014, and 2015 sponsored by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India.
Manjula Cultural Trust prioritized child and adolescent safety:
Awareness programs for adolescent girls focusing on life skills, health, and safety, in collaboration with ICDS officials.
Child safety initiatives in schools and homes, covering protection from abuse, violence, accidents, and natural disasters.
Educated parents through Anganwadi centres on child protection measures.
