Preserving Culture, Supporting Artists
Support & Recognition
Skill Development & Opportunities
Manjula Cultural Trust believes that artists are the custodians of our heritage. Many rural and folk artists face financial hardships despite their invaluable contribution to preserving traditional dance, drama, and music. Our Artist Welfare initiatives aim to provide recognition, support, and opportunities for these talented individuals to sustain their art while improving their livelihoods.
We identify skilled artists—ranging from Bharatanatyam dancers to folk performers and street play actors—and assist them in securing government benefits such as pensions and ID cards. We also organize cultural events and performances to showcase their talents, connect them with audiences, and promote their art forms at regional and national levels.
Beyond recognition, we help artists adapt to changing times by offering training in performance techniques, event management, and cultural entrepreneurship. This enables them to explore new platforms, from stage performances to digital showcases, ensuring their work reaches wider audiences and remains relevant for future generations.
